Autumn Wishlist

Here's an updated list of items we need.

Toys
Small toys or prizes for kids who participate in our reading programs:
Please remember: NO broken toys, NO big toys (no room in crowded homes), NO toys or games that require knowledge of English, and NO toys that need batteries (no money to replace them).

Some suggested items include:
--simple things like balloons, bouncing balls, sand toys, jacks, paddle-ball, anything you or your kids or grandkids enjoy
--silly bands
--bakugan toys
--tops
--transformer toys
--superhero toys
--building blocks like legos, duplos or megablocks
--hot wheels cars
--beads for making necklaces and bracelets
--educational games/toys for small children: block sets, puzzles using colors and shapes of varying types, games that require concentration such as memory, uno, crazy 8s)
--dolls
--small purses for young teen girls
--pencil cases with a kid theme (cartoon character)
--lunch bags and backpacks with kid theme

School/art supplies

--Notebooks (lined and graph paper)
--Posterboard weight paper
--Flat headed thumb tacks
--Foam sheets for art
--Popsicle sticks
--Double sided tape

**Several chess sets are also needed so that all the children can play at once**

Clothing
As always, we welcome donations of gently used clothing. We sell these clothes at minimal cost to local families to raise funds for library operations.

Things that sell well are light-to-medium weight clothing for babies, children, teens and small adults sizes (XS, S or M-- anything larger is generally too big for locals). Think summer or spring clothes. Sneakers, sandals, & flip-flops are also popular items. Please don't feel the need to go out and buy new clothes, pick stuff up at your local thrift store if you must, or canvas your neighbors for their used clothes-- help recycle clothing and help Hekab Be!

Is there anything in this wish list that you no longer need?
