Wishes for Summer

Musical instruments:

--We would like to be able to provide plastic recorders (the instrument) for each of the children participating in our summer program. We will need about 50 of them!

-- Any other instruments that people have available to donate would be most welcome, especially: guitars, coronets, drums (even small hand drums), shakers (maracas!), tambourines, triangles, & other small hand instruments.

Other items needed:
--Cotton bond paper

--Bristol board or mount board

--Play dough or other similar modeling clay

--Notebooks- graph & lined

--Small gifts/toys for children: beach toys, puzzles, coloring books, tops, action figures, small building sets, small jewelry making sets, toy cars, etc.

Kids' & small adult size clothes & shoes for our clothing bazaar fundraisers
Some suggestions:
Things that sell well are light-to-medium weight clothing for babies, children, teens and small adults sizes (XS, S or M-- anything larger is generally too big for locals). Think summer or spring clothes. Sneakers, sandals, & flip-flops are also popular items. Please don't feel the need to go out and buy new clothes, pick stuff up at your local thrift store if you must, or canvas your neighbors for their used clothes-- help recycle clothing and help Hekab Be!

Spring Wish List

Here is an updated list of things we need:

School/Office supplies:
--Water based/finger paints in large bottles (1 liter if possible): primary colors plus black & white

--Ink for our Printer: Kodak 10C color & 10B b/w cartridges

--White glue, large bottles are fine. Glue sticks tend to dry up too quickly.

--Notebooks- graph & lined, soft & hard cover

--Laminating sheets, letter size (8-1/2 x 11) or half letter size

--Bulletin board or cork board squares to hang stuff on the walls

-- Different kinds of paper for doing art projects: posterboard; bristol board or mount board; letter size cardstock, or heavy cotton bond paper, preferably with a sheen, for printing certificates;

Toys/gifts for Kids (& Moms!):

--Spinning tops of all kinds

--Kites

--Coloring books

--Marbles

--Musical instruments (not expensive ones) things like: tamborines, shakers (maracas), small, hand-held type instruments that kids can use to play along to songs

--Colored embroidery yarn  & thread for art projects for the moms

--Sewing needles for art projects for the moms

--Small toys for Children's Day presents (think of something about the size you'd get in a happy meal-- a car, a small doll, a small game or art kit).
